Christmas

Time is just flying by! I still haven't even posted about Christmas yet! I loved our tree this year! When we moved I threw away pretty much all my cheap decorations, so my mom lent me her old stuff!

Our Christmas was great! We got to spend it with both of our entire families! We were in Welling with Denver's family for Christmas Eve and Christmas. My parents had 2 cabins in Montana so we celebrated Christmas morning a day later with both my sisters and their families. It was so nice to relax for a week, eat some great traditional Christmas treats, go shopping and hot tubing! It was so warm that we didn't get to play in the snow, and it even rained a few days.

Dane is 15 months old today! He is such a little monkey and is getting into everything, but he is so fun to watch and definitely keeps me busy!

At 15 months Dane is....
- walking everywhere! He no longer likes riding in shopping carts. When we go to the store he has to be pushing the cart.
 - climbing onto everything. He especially likes to climb onto our ottoman, and onto the couch.
- independent - He likes to be holding his own spoon as I feed him, and meal times usually end up with him "feeding" himself.
- a good sleeper - He usually goes to bed about 8:30-9:00 and will sleep til 9:00-9:30. He then has about a 2 or 3 hour nap in the middle of the day.When he is tired he will get his favorite blanket and walk to his crib. He sings himself to sleep it is the best sound!
- pointing at everything! - I love it when his little pointer finger comes out! It makes it so much easier to know what he wants
- trying to talk a little bit - he can say Mama, Dad, Papa, dog and "woof"
- a big cheese ball! - he gives kisses, blows kisses, waves bye, teases, claps if you say "yay", puts his hands in the air if you say touchdown, and has the best cheesy smile! 
- loves animals!  - Especially dogs! He doesn't get scared of big dogs, and loves it when they lick him.
-  a softy - he loves to hug teddy bears, and carry around anything that is soft... my housecoat, his blankets, his halloween costume, my slippers.....
- wearing shoes! - For the longest time he would not keep his shoes on! He would (and still does sometime) pull his shoes off and then his socks. If he is grumpy in his car seat, we take his socks and shoes off and that makes him happy!
- a thrill seeker - He loves to stand and rock on his rocking chair, and makes himself dizzy by spinning in circles, and then falls over!

- a big boy - I've been saying this with every update on Dane, but it is still true. He is a big 15 month old. He weighs over 30 pounds and I don't know how tall he is. He is wearing some size 2t and 3t clothes but mostly 18-24 months.

So that's our "baby" Dane! I guess in a few months, I wont be able to call him our baby anymore! #2 is scheduled to come at the beginning of March! I have a feeling it will be before March, so we'll see lol!  We are so excited to be having another boy! They will be 18 months apart, so hopefully they become great friends!

I guess I could write an update on us too! Den has been working for Jenex, and I am still working with my mom. We had a few months with a pretty hectic schedule so its been nice that December has slowed down a bit. We are saving up for a down payment and looking forward to hopefully buying a house in 2012. We love living in Raymond! I cannot imagine us living anywhere else.

We are looking forward to Christmas holidays next week! This year we will both be able to spend time with our whole families!

On Saturday we had an awesome Halloween Party at the Boehme's! We played a couple games, and had good treats! I didnt get one picture in my Halloween costume though. I went as a witch! Not very creative but my parents already had all the stuff for it!

In just 1 short year he has gone from this....
To this!!! Haha!

Our little boy is the best baby ever! He is doing so many new things, and seems to learn something new everyday!

He is
- WALKING!!! This is incredibly exciting, as our 29 pound 1 year old was getting harder to carry around. He can stand up on his own, and is getting better and better at walking everyday. He loves to be chased by Denver or Papa!

- turning into a picky eater like his dad. If I feed him yogurt or anything mushy he spits it out and laughs. He loves meat and potatoes (yup, just like his dad!)

- really good at playing with his toys. He has figured out where the balls go in some toys, and loves to push his trucks around making truck noises. He loves to play with jenga blocks!

- a big softy! He loves to hug teddy bears and dolls. He carries them around and talks in a high voice to them. He also loves anything soft, he will carry his blanket around and drop it on the floor and lay on it. He used to cry every time he heard a baby cry, but now he only does it if he's tired.

- always happy to go outside! If I open my parents front door and watch him, he will work is way down the front path and onto the road! (and down the road if I let him!) The weather has been pretty nice still here, so I've bundled him up and gone on a few walks.

-always taking off his sock and shoes! I have got him to wear shoes a couple times, but only the robeeze type ones.

- a good sleeper. He normally goes to bed around 8:30-9, and will wake up around 8 and play in his crib for an hour. He has one nap during the day around lunch for a couple hours.

Some other things about Dane, he loves animals, and is surprisingly gently with them already! He gets excited when we read his dog book, or when he sees a picture of a dog. I don't really turn on cartoons, but when that one comes on with the 4 people in the horrible tights,( the nananana nanana zoomba zoomba zoom one?! know what I am talking about?! lol) he will stop and watch their whole skit!


In other news. We found last week that baby #2 is going to be a boy! We are excited for Dane to have a little brother. My due date is March 11, so only 20ish more weeks to go! Name suggestions are always appreciated!!

End of Summer

Well summer is finally over! I am excited for fall to be here, but only if it stays warm! August and September were full of fun stuff!

Dane loves the dishwasher! I can only do the dishes if he's sleeping.

We were able to go to Denver's parents house in Arizona at the end of August. It was incredibly hot! We lounged by the pool and hung out in the house! We were able to go to a baseball game and had great seats! It was exciting to see Aaron Hill and John MacDonald (who got traded the week before to the Diamondbacks from Toronto)

And a football game! Denver finally got to see the Broncos play! We went an hour and a half early to see them warm up. Denver was so excited! It was a little loud for Dane though!

Dane turned 1 on the 18th!! This past year has gone by so fast! Dane and I left for Kelowna on his birthday, so we opened his presents a little early!

We gave him a cupcake right before we got in the car to head to Kelowna. He ate the whole thing!

In Kelowna we celebrated his birthday in the breakfast spot of our hotel! We had KFC and cake! Dane got spoiled!

He loves his new truck! He can get on it by him self now and loves the noises it makes.

Denver has been looking to buy a truck since before I knew him. He finally found one that met all his standards and we bought it!
